I Almost Didn’t Write This One
Well... this is late. Really late.
But I think it's actually a good opportunity to write about hopping back on the bandwagon.
The last few weeks have been pretty busy for me, so my newsletter fell through the cracks. I debated not writing one this month, but that made me feel guilty because this is something I genuinely enjoy doing, and I felt like I'd be letting myself down if I skipped it.
It wouldn't be crazy to feel that way and just push it off until next month so I could come out with a thoughtful newsletter on an interesting topic. But who knows, I might have done the exact same thing next month.
I get a similar feeling about a lot of things that require my time and effort, including my own training. There's this sense that you need to start at the perfect time or wait until all the cards stack up exactly how you need them before you start working out.
Something many of us either recognize now, or need to recognize, is that the cards will almost never stack up exactly how we want them to in order to prioritize our health.
I have about 30 minutes to write this newsletter, and it won't be as informative as some of my previous ones. But I'm still going to write it and force you all to read it.
I think this is a good reminder for myself and, hopefully, for many of you. Even though the conditions weren't perfect, I still decided to write this newsletter. In the same way, when your day gets squeezed, you should still prioritize your health, even if it's only for 10 minutes.
Your older self will thank you when they're still carrying in the groceries, walking up the stairs with ease, and doing all the little things that are easier because they're strong and lean.
CMONN!
